'Southbank Penthouse'

Our clients brief was to maximise lifestyle change in luxurious environs.  In collaboration with SJB Interiors we stripped the apartment back to a shell and divided its layout into two key, distinctive zones – living and bedrooms with strong design emphasis given to the unimpeded views over the Victorian Arts centre and sporting precinct to result in an enhanced viewing experience.

To this end the kitchen was relocated in a considered layout, the laundry re-oriented and by doing so created additional space enabling the creation of unique and discreet bar covered with bespoke steel frame bi-folding doors when not in use.

The master bedroom zone was divided up into a series of small rooms that previously suffered from poor natural daylight and circulation.  The introduction of an open blade study nook welcomes natural light whilst concurrently provided seclusion and privacy from the adjacent master bedroom and ensuite.

The resulting renovation demonstrates a successful luxury regeneration of an existing shell by strategically re-planning its layout driven by usage and lifestyle objectives
